An idealist and strategist, my mission at work is to help others. I do this by building products that solve real problems. That, and by being a strong contributor to the team. I started my career in the public sector because I wanted to have a positive impact on society. There, I dabbled in operations, policy-making, service design, and content creation to serve the ultimate goal of helping locals to find employment. While the work was meaningful and close to my heart, I grew to realise that good intentions don't always lead to good outcomes. This led me to search for design methods that went beyond surface issues and tackled the root of the problem.
You could say I accidentally stumbled upon Product Management while reading up different design and build methods. I loved how UX helped me to identify the real issues and generate creative solutions, while product management was the final puzzle piece I needed to lead a team and execute the roadmap. I wasn't formally titled as a "PM" in my previous jobs, but I realised that the little bits of work I have been doing was actually skills and traits of being a PM! With an unexplainable interest in local companies, I now continue my journey to help others through building meaningful products and experiences at tech startups.
True to my character trait of a Product Manager, I'm a bit of the classic Jill of all trades, master of none. When I'm not working, I look forward to getting lost in a good dystopian novel, spinning on a lyra hoop and playing sports with friends.
